Common questions about workforce management in Schild

Every compensable operation tracks attendance. At check-in and check-out, location and time are recorded. Location and time at both ends are shown in administration with visual indicators showing how close the check-ins and check-outs were to the scheduled location and time.


Anomalies occur. If the total duration of an attendance record exceeds the duration of its op, the attendance record automatically adjusts to the scheduled start and end times of the op. Compensated time never exceeds the scheduled duration of the op.

Yes. Hourly workers who work over 40 hours in a week receive adjustments at 1.5 times their hourly rate for overtime hours on their payroll summaries.

There are three types of time away: absences, leaves, and vacations. An absence is a time away that does not exceed one day. These are for emergencies and personal matters. Leaves are longer absences that must be requested in advance. Vacation is time off.

Personnel can submit time away requests in their profiles, where they can also view request status and other details like why a request was denied. Absences are approved automatically, while vacations and leaves require explicit approval. Be sure to upload time away policies in administration so personnel know the rules and request time away appropriately.


Approval of time away automatically declines all accepted assignments for operations overlapping with the period, and administration is notified immediately.

Personnel can set their own availability in administration or in their profiles on the main site. Authorized administrators can also update others' availability in administration.
